Jfk Interiors Australia were honored to deliver high quality commercial joinery at the newly refurbished 321X building at 321 Exhibition Street, Melbourne for Origin Energy alongside builder Buildcorp and Carr Architecture.

The spectacular overall transformation of 321X building is a timeless refurbishment project that adds further value to the 321X office building, which is Australia’s first to achieve a 6 Star NABERS Energy Rating. 

Once again, the Jfk Interiors Australia team has done an outstanding job in producing high quality joinery results on a complex project covering floors 1-9 and 13-20 – in the commercial office sector, where we maintain a long history as market leaders.

Requiring extensive commercial experience and capabilities to delivery on an array of bespoke joinery work including a variety of end of trip components such as bench seating, under seat storage, towel stations, grooming stations, vanities, bespoke mirrors, ironing stations and airing cupboards. Other joinery items including storage, banquette with upholstery and Marblo detail.  Not to mention unique lobby detail of bespoke reception and concierge desks, planters and mirrors -among many others.

Materials were also very diverse and reflected the complex yet exciting nature of the project.   Materials worked with to compete the project included vanities with metal work framing of the mirrors in the end of trip area and Corian to the tops and specialised joinery.

Awarded in August 2020, with contracted works commencing on site in October 2020. Completion for the main works (end of trip, ground floor and upper level vanities) in February 2021. All up when finished the project will have involved more than 2500 hours of machining and more than 1600 hours on site – much of which has taken place during periods of challenging restrictions relating to COVID19.
